Donald G. Phraner, 64, of Lackawaxen, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026.
Born June 12, 1961, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Helena Phraner (nee Pasniak) and the late Donald Phraner.
He was a 1979 graduate of Lincoln High School, Philadelphia. He sold real estate, worked as an electrician, and served as a lieutenant on the Hemlock Farms Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Most recently he worked as a golf starter at Lords Valley Country Club, Hemlock Farms, PA.
In earlier years, he was passionate about fireworks, golfing, hunting, and fishing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in
death by his brother, George Phraner.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Bryana Phraner and Emma Phraner, their mother, Jane Phraner (nee Taylor), siblings, John (Jay) Phraner and spouse Angela, Mary Ann (Phraner) Kennedy, Michael Phraner, sister-in-law, Cheryl Phraner; his significant other, Michelle Kozlowski, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Pecks Lake Sportsman Association, 183 Brewster Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328. Family and friends will gather from 2:00 to 6:00PM with a service at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Donald’s name to your local fire and emergency services departments.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Daniel J Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, Wilkes-Barre.
