Harry S. Giberson

Harry S. Giberson, 83, of Dallas, formerly of Tunkhannock, passed away peacefully Friday May 8 2026 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with dementia. 

 Born on July 22 1942, he was the son of the late Harold and Lila (Bonning) Giberson.

He served his country proudly with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1960-1979.

He retired from the Tunkhannock Area School District after 28 years as a custodian.

In his retirement he enjoyed many camping trips with family especially his annual trip to Knoebels.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin, David, Billy, John, a sister, Alice Devens, granddaughters, Britney, Antonia, and a great granddaughter, Meikah.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Pearl (Jennings), children, Harry Jr.,(Donna), Harold (Lisa), Kimberly (Carl), Tammy (Sean), Robin (Alan), and Daniel, 27 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, a sister, Josie Federici and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Harry’s request, there will be no services.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, Wilkes-Barre.
