Cheryl A. Thompson, 63, of Wilkes-Barre, a beloved mother and aunt, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, surrounded by family after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Born on July 4, 1961, in Trenton, NJ, Cheryl brought love and humor with her wherever she went.
Cheryl was a loving single mother of two, but the love didn't stop there. She was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed and loved many as if they were her own children. She also loved to travel to meet new people and often traveled out of state to make new friends within the deaf community.
Cheryl was very proud of her deafness and an active member of the community. She attended MKSD/New Jersey School for the Deaf, Class of 1981, where she made many lifelong friendships and later joining several online deaf vlog channels making videos that showcased her humor.
She will always be remembered for her love of both the Philadelphia Eagles and green M&Ms.
She was preceded in death by parents Samuel and Anne McKeaige.
Cheryl is survived by brother Samuel McKeaige, children Michael and Stacy, and thirteen nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, Wilkes-Barre.
