Elaine Joy Mock

Elaine Joy Mock, 75, of Tunkhannock, passed away peacefully at Regional Hospital of Scranton on November 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Meshoppen, on August 9, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Richard Goble and Marjorie (Deal) Goble.

She was the devoted wife of her high school sweetheart, the late Richard Mock; together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage and had four children together, Kevin Mock, Vicki Niccum, Stacy Mock, and Carrie Orlofski.

Elaine was the proud grandmother of nine. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them sharing stories, playing games, listening to music, or simply just being together.

Elaine found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved to crochet, dance, see live music (The Airport Pickers were her favorite), tell jokes, feed the hummingbirds, and take road trips. Her favorite place to visit was Benezette, Pennsylvania, where she would take many photos of the elk that she couldn’t wait to share with her family.

She will be remembered for her joyful laughter, her kind and giving spirit, and the profound love she shared for her family.

Her loved ones invite everyone to honor her memory in their own way-perhaps by dancing to their favorite song, or by sharing laughs with others playing a game.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, Wilkes-Barre.
