Jose A. Sepulveda-Filomeno, 46, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully Friday, January 3 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre, after a battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he moved to Pennsylvania later and worked for Mohegan Sun Casino, Plains Twp., and more recently with Signify North America Corp., Mountaintop.

 

He was an avid baseball fan who loved the NY Mets.  He played baseball with the Wyoming Valley Adult Baseball League and coached in the Wilkes-Barre City Little League for several years.

 

A true family-man, he loved spending time with family.  He would coach and support his children at every event.  He loved seeing the children succeed.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Luis Alberto Sepulveda-Osorio and a brother, Luis Alberto Sepulveda Filomeno.

 

He will be sadly missed by his mother, Paula Filomeno Marrero, children, Joyce Marie Jowers-Sepulveda, Jose G Sepulveda-Diaz, Adriel Sepulveda, sisters, Francheska Sepulveda Sanchez and Carmen Correa Filomeno, a nephew, Siul Alberto Sepulveda-Muniz, companion, Tammi Anthony, his extended family, Victoria Cintron, Jessica Gotay, Jelisa Morales, Bryce Waters, Xavier Curry, Acier Strickland, Syncere Strickland, and his dog, Cash.

 

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
