Laura Phillips Howell

Laura Phillips Howell, 47, of Kingston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday April 4, 2025, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Laura graduated from Bishop O'Reilly High School, Kingston, earned a B.A. in Gerontology from King’s College and a BS in Nursing from Misericordia University. Nursing for Laura was both a career and a passion. She worked with the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and as a school nurse with Wyoming Seminary.

She was proud of her family lineage being an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

A gifted vocalist, Laura enjoyed acting and singing in local theaters. At home, she sang with her children.

Laura's positive attitude and love for life will be truly missed. One expression of her positive attitude was expressed by her love of nature's beauty, entering her home was always a delight as you would enjoy the plants and flowers everywhere in her home.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Todd A Glynn, sons, Doron and Hadley, parents, William and Barbara (Phillips) Howell, a brother, Robert Swaback, a niece, Rachel Swaback and numerous friends.

She will be truly missed by her family and everyone who had the opportunity to meet her.

Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, Wilkes-Barre.
