Mary Lou Pavlick, 89,  of Ashley, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, May 13, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Saratoga Springs, New York on January 19,1936, she was the daughter of the late Jane and Joseph Bush. She worked at Wyoming Valley Garment Company for 22 years as an inspector.

 

She served on the Ashley Borough Council from 1991 to 1994 and again from 1998 to 2002.

She and her husband John celebrated 69 years of marriage on April 10, 2024. She loved to cook and especially bake for her family and friends.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Pavlick, daughter, Jane Pavlick Paperman, daughter Lisa Pavlick Price, grandsons, Stephen Pavlick Jr and Donald Price, brother, Joseph Bush, sons-in-law, Arthur Paperman and Richard Jenkins.

 

Surviving are her daughters, Denise Pavlick, West Pittston, Diane Jenkins, Ashley,

Suzanne Pavlick, Ashley, Mickey (Phil) Krebs, Wilkes-Barre, sons, Steve (Jean) Pavlick, Plains,

and Mark Pavlick, Plains, 31 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, a sister, Ann Gorham Tranka, Ballston Spa, New York, sister-in-law, Shirley Bush, Florida, and Patricia Bockowski, Wilkes-Barre and several nieces and nephews.

 

We would like to thank the doctors that were there for our mom, Dr. Martino, Dr. Marien, Dr. Shipe, Dr Rupp and Allied Hospice services, (Joan, Samantha, Karla & Joyce) and most of all Dr. David Mouallem who went above and beyond to take care of our mom.

 

Our family would like to extend a tremendous thank you to her daughter Suzanne Pavlick who took compassionate care of our Mom. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

 

Funeral services with a visitation will be held Sunday May 18 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Daniel J Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
