David Shampack, 71, of Wanamie, passed away Thursday May 7 2026 peacefully at home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of the late George and Virginia (Stevens) Shampack and was a graduate of Elmer L Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre.
He worked as a carpenter in the local construction industry for many years.
He enjoyed watching his sports too, especially Penn State Football and the Philadelphia Phillies.
He was a family man, a loving husband, proud father, brother in law, uncle and friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jason.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 50 years, Joan, son, Mark and a daughter, Lauren, several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, Wilkes-Barre.
