Richard M. Mock, 77, of Tunkhannock passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Allied Service Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre, with his family by his side.

Born February 6, 1948, he was the son of late William and Lula (Pembleton) Mock.
He was proud to have retired from the Lion Brewery, where he worked for many years and built lasting friendships.
He was a man who found his greatest joy in the great outdoors— whether casting a line into a mountain stream or tracking game through the woods. Hunting and fishing brought him peace, purpose, and countless memories shared with those he loved.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Elaine Mock, three daughters, Vicki Niccum, Stacy Mock, and Carrie Orlofski, son Kevin Mock, sister Charlotte Mock, and brother George Mock, nine grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother William Mock and sister Linda Zalewski. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will remember his kindness, his gentle spirit, and the quiet strength he carried through life.
Per his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. His loved ones invite everyone to honor his memory in their own way—perhaps by spending time outdoors, watching a sunrise, or taking a quiet moment in nature.
May he forever find peace beneath open skies and in the places he loved most.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, Wilkes-Barre.
