Rosanne Hartwigsen, 77, of Bear Creek Township, passed away peacefully Friday, October 17 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Stella Reno, and was a graduate of St. Nicholas High School, Wilkes-Barre.

 

She went to work with RCA, Mountaintop, Social Security, and she was a secretary at the Bear Creek Charter School, retiring after 13 years of service.

 

Rosanne was active in church functions serving as a Sunday School teacher, a Youth Group Leader and was actively involved in Ladies Aid.  Rosanne and her husband coached recreational softball for many years.  She was also an EMT for the Bear Creek Ambulance Company when it was in existence.  Rosanne was a long-time active member of the Bear Creek Women's Club.

 

Rosanne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially cookies for her grandson.  Rosanne liked to go shopping with her husband and daughters, and she enjoyed her monthly outings with friends to the casino.  She also enjoyed attending Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguin ice hockey games with her family for many years.

 

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years, William ‘Bill’ Hartwigsen, daughters, Amy Graham and husband Scott, Becky Crawford and husband John, grandson Brendan Graham, siblings Nicholas Reno (Diane), Andrew Reno (Beth Ann), Dianne Stilp (George), and John Reno (Lori), and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the East End Primitive Methodist Church, 235 Kidder Street, Wilkes-Barre.

 

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the East End Primitive Methodist Church, 235 Kidder Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
