Daniel J. Rosengrant, Sr., 72 of Wilkes-Barre passed away peacefully Friday, November 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Jack and Joan (O’Donnell) Rosengrant and was a 1972 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre.
He worked for several years with Trane as a welder and later worked for Sears Logistics.
Daniel enjoyed sports and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's school and sporting events. He spent more than 20 years coaching the Mini Mohawk C team football.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son David Rosengrant, grandsons, Tristen and Tevin Cistrunk, a brother Michael Rosengrant, in-laws Kenneth and Alice Mugford, brother in-law Tom Mugford, and nephews, Jason Shampack and Kevin Robinson.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of more than 52 years, Judy, daughters, Amy Rau and husband Donald, Exeter, and Tara Rosengrant, Wilkes-Barre, a son, Daniel Rosengrant and fiancée, Melissa Simon, Plains Township, grandchildren, TJ, Talia, Ella, Sam, and Kiersten, a sister, Jean Grant, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A celebration of Daniel’s life will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
