Savannah M. Flayhart, 23, of Bethlehem and formerly of Plymouth, passed away peacefully May 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.

 

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Christopher and Lorraine (Hartzell) Flayhart, and was a 2019 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Plymouth.

She was a bright light who touched the lives of everyone she met. Savannah's love for children shined through as she was an infant room teacher at Lightbridge Academy, Bethlehem.  She will be remembered for her kind spirit, compassionate heart, bravery and courage as she battled cancer.

 

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John Hartzell and Anna Dixon, and paternal grandmother, Judy Carey, and a cousin, Braylen Hartzell.

 

She will be sadly missed by her parents, Chris and Lorraine Flayhart, fiancé, Anthony Polanco, brother, Dylan Flayhart and fiancé, Julie Balsamo, sisters Brylee, Karlee brother, Cody Freeman, nephew, Dylan Flayhart, Jr., nieces, Alaia Grace, Skyler and Farah Freeman, grandfather, Mark Dixon, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and Godson, Onyxx.

 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 3:00PM from the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.

 

A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday from 1:00PM until the service at the funeral home.
