Joseph (Joe) P. Ryman, 77, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully Friday, December 26, 2025, after a lengthy illness in Gesinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of the late Patrick and Flora Ryman.
Joe was a 1966 graduate of James M Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. He entered the US Navy right out of high school and was stationed on the US Savage 383. After proudly serving his country, he was employed as an electrician for many years and later retired from Azek Building Products, Scranton.
Joe enjoyed bowling and baseball and was a Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders season ticket holder.
He will be sadly missed by sons Joseph Ryman, West Orange, New Jersey, Robert Ryman and wife Michele, Wilkes-Barre, grandchildren, Dillan Ryman, Kingston, and Alyssa Ryman, Wilkes-Barre, brothers, Robert Ryman and wife Susan, Pittston and Richard Ryman and wife Caprice, Kingston, a nephew Tyler Ryman and a niece Devin Ryman.
Funeral services will be held Friday January 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM from the Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
Entombment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
A visitation will be held Friday from 9:00 AM until the service time at the funeral home.
